bare with it, give your body time to adjust and get some ear plugs, oh and one benadril tablet before sleep time will help.

You'll get used to it. When I first started using it, I would be asleep and when the truck started I would jump up like someone was stealing the truck. That lasted a week or two, but then I didnt even notice it.

Thanks for the input!! But It never get's the truck cold enough or hot enough before it shuts down. I like to sleep with a little fan running and when the motor restarts the voltage drop to my power inverter shuts it down and sets off the alarm. As it is I only except jobs from this co. when I know I can sleep with the truck turned off. I thought there mite be some way around this thing. I guess not. Thanks and be safe!

You may want to make sure you are setting the sleeper thermostat properly (both temperature and offset temperature). If you still have a problem, you may need to have a technician look at it. When I had that it worked great other than the getting used to.

A few yrs ago I was running Sears dedicated and I was in Upstate NY and it was freezing. It was like 15 degrees and they had just implemented the 5 min idle laws there. I set my optimized idle and timed it through a few cycles. It took 9 min to go up 4 degrees, and 4 min to drop 4 degrees. I just started the truck and let it idle all night. If a cop showed up and said anything I was gonna tell him why I was idleing and I would not be shutting down the truck, so if he had to, he was welcome to write me up. I'm not gonna freeze to death, or bake, for the enviro-nazi's

They were designed for the co. not the driver. That's for sure!!! I'm a electronics guy so I messed with the settings I tried turning it way past the temp it could reach and turned down the fan but it still stopped before it reached the temp I had it set at. I'm working as a temp and I just won't work for that co. unless I'm sure I can sleep without the truck idoling. Thanks!!

When i used to run a truck that had that, I used to turn the engine brake on high and when the truck shut off it wouldn't shake so bad. A tip someone else passed down to me and it seemed to work.

    pawpaw Thanks this.

Will the truck still shut off if you apply only the trailer brakes (leave the tractor button pushed in)?

This works, but most of the self adjusters on trailers do not work and nine out of ten times a coupling is leaking on those trailers. Do not park on a grade if you try this and it only works on some tractors systems.
