I can see these trucks on road)
Today I saw very old freightliner with four round lamps... Looks like early FLA. Sounds like a big cam.

Pablo , Toyota (Hino) used to sell those in South Africa in the 90's then the same guys that sold International also sold them as a cheaper option.
The Peterbuilt was about 10% cheaper than the 9800.
They had exactly the same drive line but they were less well put together and less comfortable than the 9800's.
How do those hold up in Eastern Europe as I see the one featured is an import.
The ones we got here had heavier chassis and axles than a typical American version. -

In Europe US trucks tow european tridem trailer with 10 ton load on fifth wheel. So any US truck in EU runs in six axle configuration with max. weight of 40 metric ton.
-
We impose about 17 to 18 ton on to a 6x4 with 49,7t on 6 axles.
Good for a a payload of about 35t. -
One of the magazines in Australia is doing a big comparison of the 2 biggest selling trucks in Australia, the Kenworth k200 and the Volvo FH. They have gone to Kenworth and Volvo and specced very similar trucks, 26m b-double, 600hp and auto. (I know a lot of the euro guys will say why not 700, the 700 does not sell very well over here, and the 600 is the best for an owner operator) here is the first video, I will try and get a copy of the mag and put it up as well.
When they are talking about the east coast trucks is these are on highway, max length, max weight express trucks. Australia's 3 largest cities, Brisbane, Sydney and Melbourne are on the east coast of Australia and are about 1600km apart. Most of Australia's freight goes through these cities so this is why these trucks are so important to the Australian truck market, also a 26 meter b-double at 64.5 tonne is the largest truck that can be taken on these roads as a normal everyday truck
In these links there is just some info about speccing the trucks and how they went about getting to the comparison
