Are they really hurting for drivers or just blowing up Craig's list for future concerns??? Seems like Lessor's posts just about everyday, at least when I happen to be there!
You guys do have nice equipment though, just surprised that they can't get Florida drivers home more often then they do...Seems like there is money to be made there for sure!!!
    Stay safe!!!

Yes. We need drivers. Quite a few empty trucks sitting in Florida. And guys in Florida get home, I don't know why they quit, maybe work is too hard? Lol.

Just finished up my last trip, Lynden, WA to Yakima, WA to Poughkeepsie, NY. Loading in the AM in Newfield, NJ and that has 3 stops, Sterling, IL; Oconomowoc, WI and finals in Jackson, WI. Puts the paid miles this week at 4470 plus 3 extra stops. Good times.

I guess drivers these days don't really want to drive??? I like 3000-3500 mile weeks personally, as long as its legal (and even when it wasn't some times...) the truck should be rolling and making money, IMHO.

Out of curiosity, when you say Florida drivers get home what are you talking??? weekly, bi-weekly, longer????

I don't live in Florida, I really couldn't answer that. All i know is many live there and have no issue getting home.

A lot of that would depend on how often you want home and what area in Florida you live in. I live 5 minutes from the yard in Dover. If you lived in the Tampa area, I'd say you could be home every couple of weeks. We have runs that come out of Florida, go to the Northeast, across to Minnesota and loads out of their to Florida. Have done that a few times.

That would be a nice week I would guess? I'm about 50 miles from Dover off of 75 between ex 285/301 so not too bad, I've been by the yard there several years ago, unless of course they moved since I would guess 2008.

Maybe I'll give them a call this week to find out, my home situation only really allows me about 10-14 out, unfortunately in Fl. that seems hard to come by!!!

They want 3 weeks out. Obviously there's wiggle room. But, you can take 6 days off. The miles are there if you want them.
