TA Knoxville. Stacked with loads heading to a T-Call in Houston. I'll 34 there and visit a friend of mine who lives in spring branch, but I am NOT looking forward to driving all over Harris county looking for an empty. I'll try to find out who is picking up my Tcall, and see if they have an empty I can snag

Those FAQ sheets are only to set a drivers mind at ease. I doubt that is how they talk behind closed doors.
One point made was that 'a good driver may go several days before triggering events'.
Well, a good driver should go months or years before triggering an event, in my opinion.
Those same critical events are triggered by the sensors in the truck already, and are reported via QC. In my 4 yours I've never been told that I triggered one.
I still don't trust that system or the people controlling it.
There is too much room for abuse, and the tech is there to do it. No matter what they say in a FAQ, if it can upload it can download. And if communications goes both ways it can be controlled however they want at any given time. -
Just did a Mac 30, 2 hours after the last one.
One offering.
Pick up and deliver in Cedar Rapids, IA in 2 hours, and the 'load' had a 2 day window from the 14th.
A 65 mile mt move that they send at 2300 after I've been waiting all day for something...?
Maybe I'm in trouble for something I don't know about? -
Don't think so Moose. I'm having the same issues the past several weeks and getting fed up.
I just sat in Billings for four days. Three were breakdown and one waiting for a load out. That last day I spent 24 hours banging away on mac30 and got nothing. After being up 10 hours on Tuesday asking and waiting I got the load I'm on now. The window for P/U preceded my offer by 48hrs!!!! Planners knew the whole time that load was on the table to go. There's more but I won't bore you with those details.
Also during the time I waited I sent mssgs to my DM "needing" load for hometime. Received no responses at all. Also sent 3 mssgs to my DM to PLEASE process my request for breakdown pay BEFORE close of payroll on Wednesday. She said she would but as of right now she DID NOT so I will now have to wait another two weeks to get paid. This kind of crap has been going on for several months now and I'm reaching the end of my rope with my DM and with Swift. Too much lip service and not enough action to provide proper support. I bust my butt when I'm out "getting the job done" safely and on time 100% ALL the time and I EXPECT people in support positions to do the same from their little cubicles but it's NOT happening and continues to get worse with each passing month.
Ive thought about changing terminals and DMs but with cameras in my face seemingly inevitable, I will not stay with Swift much longer. I've already targeted a few companies in Houston to talk to when I go on hometime next week.
Rant off....Moosetek13, Rattlebunny, OceanDan and 1 other person Thank this. -
I feel your pain. Getting an mty out of my terminal has become an absolute nightmare, especially over the past year. Never mind that there are HUNDREDS of empties locked down for Walmarts Fall holidays. They're grabbing every empty that comes in and drivers are told none available and will get sent all over creation looking for one. With the huge zip codes you're expected to drive serious distances and Swift won't pay you #### to do it while they hide behind that driver ripoff scam HHG which is little more than a license to steal drivers miles, time and money.
Rant off.... -
LOL You mean I have a say in the tractor I'm assigned??
-
Yeah ill be seeking employment elsewhere. May have to get two more months experience even though I believe my record and miles speak volumes.

It's official. I've not seen the Richard Stocking video where he's micturating on us while trying to sell its raining. However I freeformed my dm this morning inquiring.
Going out on a sturdy limb with two predictions. One, Swift is about to experience a statistically significant loss of drivers. After missing expectations last quarter due to lack of drivers this won't bode well for second quarter. If I sold Swift stock short would I be guilty of insider trading??? Second, the vast majority of the exodus will be from the 86% not the 14%.
HousTank there's one down there with a Houston terminal, fleet of ONLY Petes 2013 or newer..............
I'm officially looking. -
Yes...Crappy, Crappier or Crappiest.
OceanDan Thanks this. -
I talked with one of our drivers who hadn't watched the video (he figured another boring video). Once I told him what it was he said he would be looking for another job soon. I'll be asking the others as I see them.
Dick says in the video it can't watch you live (maybe because 3g Qualcomms or a lie I dunno) but I bet they can have it send yesterdays driving day. Some hack can fast forward through later it and find things to nit-pick. Or does that just sound paranoid?
