Southern Wyoming and Nebraska Panhandle tomorrow night into Friday as this low tracks into eastern Colorado. Moderate to heavy snow is likely above 6000 feet across southeast Wyoming with widespread moderate rain below. Travel across Interstate 80 tonight between Cheyenne and Laramie will be impacted. A more widespread travel impact is appearing likely for Interstates 25 and 80 Thursday night into Friday morning with significantly impacted snow covered roads, travel delays and road closures. The good news out of all of this is that we are going to get some much needed moisture that will help our drought situation significantly. Be careful out there tonight and once again tomorrow night into Friday.

I understand some of HTQs wildlife posts better now. I have been fighting the groundhog that lives under my garage so I can fill in his hole. Well, not fighting. Put my phone under there, in video mode, looked inside the hole to make sure he was gone, then filled the hole. Scared he would bite my hand. I was worried the video would be a horror movie with the groundhog being the monster and me being the victim. The coast was clear.

I will report to start the new hire process with my new company tomorrow afternoon. I have not been in a truck for over 4 months. Have not driven a manual in more than two years. I am nervous about road testing in a manual, but somehow I feel like I will be ok.

Overall, I have driven more miles in some type of manual vehicle that one with an automatic. I have been watching YouTube shifting videos to help me prepare for the road test. If I pass the road test, I feel like I can take it slow, get comfortable and drive a manual fine with a little practice.

Same here Passport, haven't touched a manual truck since leaving school. But I have driven sticks in cars half of my driving life so exhale, buddy. U will B FINE! Sorry to hear about the Flying J in Salina KS. One of the girls at the J counter is a young pretty redhead named Georgia. She reminds me of a young Elizabeth Perkins (Tom Hanks girlfriend in the movie Big). I told her to take an acting class and head to Hollywood. Hope she is ok. Sometimes I think I am a talent scout wannabe!! I am sure they will rebuild. That place is busy but can usually find parking at any hour.

At the Peelot in Tallapoosa GA just rising and it is noon. Did my drop at Supervalu in Anniston AL and by the time I got out of there, I was going to hit ATL morning rush. Can't deal with rush hour near the end of my shift. Will deal with it at the beginning but hoping for another split break so I can get around that God forsaken town. Time for a shower and Taco Bell, then roll to Winston Salem for my drop at 11am tomorrow. They moved my time back. Crackheads!! I needed my first stop moved back as I was an hour late because I was handling a haul from Holcomb to Emporia KS. Which got me started late on my home haul. As Jaso and Cranky would say, "It's ALWAYS MY FAULT!!

The groundhogs are cute, I love how they waddle when they run, but they are the most destructive little critters. :biggrin_25510:

You will do fine, passport. I think most carriers realize that drivers are switching between manual and automatic, and that it takes time to get reacclimated to the switch.

Sending good thoughts your way and lots of best wishes in your new job.
