Who pays for the trailer and product damage, you or them?

I have a $500 deductible on my insurance. They're calling it a no fault non preventable incident, kind of like a deer strike.

Wind rain and hail last night. Gonna obtain over there later to check on the trailer and tarp. Hoping nothing bad happened.

used to haul those huge paper rolls around in a dry van as a rookie driver. dont recall any warnings or special precautions taken.
now i always see these trucks that went around a corner and the paper rolls just keep going straight through the trailer wall!!
starting out pulling doubles probably help keep a guy out of trouble

How are you handling risinger with the lower than average fuel service charge?

The discounted fuel price probably makes up the difference....

Just finished reading through this whole thread which took about 4 hours. I see not much has changed there at Risinger in the 49 months since I left. Pretty much the same freight and customers except they are no longer doing the Fedex Freight runs that they were just stopping around the time I left and you can lease newer trucks then what they had available when I left. It also looks like they are using a new drop yard in the Chicago area which you should be very thankful for. Old one was at like 34th and California which was a pain in the butt to get in and out of. Also sounds like some of the names in the office are different.

Only reasons I left were because at the time they really did not like doing any repairs to the truck I was leasing that did not stop it from running down the road. Heck when I first leased it they had a trailer tire on it as a steer tire and could not believe I would not take it without them changing it.

I don't know if it is still there but there used to be a great BBQ restaurant which I don't remember the name of real close to the Uline place in Coppell,Tx so give it a try if it's still there.

You stated earlier you don't know if they read this thread but I know they sure did when I was doing mine. Do a search in this category and you will find it. I actually almost went back there about 2 years ago but I got my own authority instead.

I'm really liking it here; thought about getting my own authority but decided it isn't for me. Now they lease trucks from Penske and they have a much more comprehensive maintenance plan. Hope things are going well for you.

Well I'm over the Plague, more or less, and today I'm supposed to get that cargo cross loaded to the empty I have. Tow guy says he will tow the damaged trailer to a dock and do it there. Gonna call him after breakfast and shower. We'll see how things go....
