Do you have 6' or 8's drops on your tarps?
-
the 16' x tarps listed are 4' drops. the 24' x 25' tarps are 8' drops with a flap.ReeferOhio Thanks this.

DTT, where do you buy get those quantities of 21" tarp straps/bungees? Thanks.
-
you can get them in boxes of 50. Think I got some from mytee products , and some from Granite City Tarps.

I'm thinking of buying the lumber tarp pack from MyTee Products. Would you do a 6' or 8' drop? I'll also be getting some steel tarps. Ready to take this wagon off and do some flat bedding for awhile, and it's been awhile.... Thanks for the help.

I'd say get the 8ft drop unless you're 100% against hauling lumber. Not all lumber require 8ft drops but could come in handy. I can't think of anything else we've hauled needing 8ft drops other than insulation. This is running southeast only.
ReeferOhio Thanks this. -
Most machinery requires 8' drops. Awkward, multi-piece, tarp ripping machinery. You can get away with wrapping up a tall skinny piece with a 4', but after 2 or 3 you'll be out of tarps, and that's no good on a 6 piece load.
Also, 8 pieces of lumber means you can have 4 lifts on the trailer when they aren't skidded or crane lifted. 30'+ bar usually requires 4 sticks, and over 4 lifts usually requires 2 layers. 8 sticks is the industry standard, and most places where more is required can usually scrape up a few more pieces for you, if not just sell low grade one time use lumber to you for ridiculous prices.ReeferOhio Thanks this.
