I know that there was a swd that burned to the ground out by garden city last week, but I don't know if it's the same one.

Tks......that is not a good thing either.......sounds like the bootleg brothers didn't have it grounded. If true the RRC will be very interested as well as the owner.

The construction crews I dealt with were very cavalier and the superintendents weren't much better. Most of the time it was "just put the beach over there " and "how soon?" and I get that....but then you get this.......maybe.

Happens, was that the one that sent out advertising ads in the mail all the time? Something about giveaways for drivers who hauled the most there. There was one that blew up in Tarzan a few months ago, and a battery last week? Was that the garden city one?

Yeah. The garden city one was the one that got hit by lightning in all of those storms we had last week.

Some of those public swd's got ridiculous. Cable tv. "Relax while we unload your truck!" I even heard of one that gave the drivers a free meal. Nowadays, I wouldn't mind the pampering, but when we were busy, I didn't have time for that crap.

I believe the name was Texas Schwartz, at the corner of 158 and 125.
it was one of those that a lot of driver went to mostly because of the Food. NGL don;t server anymore food since the beginning of the month.

Personally i pick my swds by closest distance to location and / or time it takes to unload at said swd.

    chalupa Thanks this.

No more food at NGL? :( o well. I have my vac truck parked right now anyway. I went to NGL in andrews because of the food lol.. And the prices were good. Not too far from location either. What there is a shortage of IMO, are independent brine stations. (Mesquite is good i buy from them) basic has a stronghold on brine stations, and they dont want to give anyone credit!!

There is an SWD on the west side of Rankin that would cook hamburgers around lunchtime. Have chilli too. I went in the other night and grabbed some water and a diet coke bout of the fridge.

Most likely NGL. They would cook out in Andrews too.
