it is staged you go with trainer for two weeks then on your own for up to 10 weeks (depending on the driver) then back out with a trainer each stage opens up more states there are 4 stages you get more money with every stage and at the end your at .40

Also they only do new student orientation once a month so depending on when you get your card you may have to wait

4 Stages? I would just go with a company for 2-4 weeks, work for them for 3 to 6 and then bypass all that training crap... 4 stages? 4 months total in driving with another guy?

Longer training is a good thing. Believe me, You don't know what you don't know yet. Just find a company that pays you fairly for the training time.

Wow...because Swift was paying like 23 cents to start in 1999...and most paid 26 to 28 cpm for new drivers. With 6 mos experience, I was making 35 cpm in 1999 with NFI! There seems no reason, when figuring all the inflationary policies by our Federal Govt, why new drivers aren't starting everywhere at at least 38-40 cpm. And believe me, DOT is much much more militant and driver regulations much stricter than 15 years ago.

There's many on here that defend low wages, so no shortage of people willing to work cheap.

They take drivers with no experience. No CDL school but last I heard there was talk of sponsoring.
