Good idea on the pay thing, money is a motivator for sure! But you don't have to teach him trip planning, they send you those nifty plans on how to do it on the QC! Ok seriously teach him to delete those lol.

Here in Morton, IL waiting for the storms to come. Well Memphis ended up stacking me 2 loads and then IGH another one and now I am thinking that I made a very large mistake coming up here and accepting the next 2 pplans after watching the weather. Picking up Galesburg, all of 23K going to Cheyenne for Sunday afternoon and then down to Windsor, CO for a load of cans going to Tulsa for Tuesday morning. Now hoping that on Tuesday I can get a nice 500 mile run for Wednesday delivery going SW and then start to head home.
OceanDan Thanks this. -
Call Command ... they have loads coming out of the same warehouse that you will be delivering the cans to.

Which is why I hate being stacked with loads.
We can't count on everything going well on the current load, much less the next or the next.
Stacked loads, without a very good time window on each, is just an invitation to a service failure.
And stacked two deep?
I would NEVER do it. -
I have very open windows on these. Galesburg to Cheyenne I have almost 2 days, 800 miles and from Windsor almost 2 days again. PU at 1600 on Sunday and have until 1000 on Tuesday. My only issue will be the weatherMoosetek13 and OceanDan Thank this.

Thanks again. I will call them and see what they have. Not looking for one that is heading towards to Ohio. Hope to get a little further away from Ohio before time to go home so can get more miles before HT. You know how that works.OceanDan Thanks this.

Somewhere in KS.
Driving along I-35 sb and getting close to the turnpike, and I check for a route that would avoid the tolls.
A nice one turned up. It is 5 miles shorter and exactly the same drive time, taking US 50 for most of the detour.
It puts me out of route for a couple hundred miles, but I didn't want to pay the tolls or go through Wichita .
And such a nice drive. Great roads and very little traffic, everything is very green.OceanDan Thanks this. -
Preplaned for the next 5 days ... beach house in Florida, with lotsa beer.
OceanDan and Moosetek13 Thank this. -
Wow!
I wish I could get pplans like that.OceanDan Thanks this. -
Grand Island, NE. What a change since the last time here. No more Grandma Max's but instead a Quaker State with a bar. Tempting, but no. Miss my Grandma Max's
OceanDan Thanks this.
