Take it from me.. 7 years in the car hauling business.
Here is what's going on.. Florida is in season now. The snowbirds are leaving. Rates go through the roof.. carriers pick off the small higher paying stuff first.
Your options are pay more or wait.
Pm me I can send you towards the company I used to work for.. they might help you out
No one will ship my car

Plus there was just a Barrett Jackson auction ...so all the high dollar cars have got to get moved out before you'll have a chance.

SHO-TYME Thanks this.

What two brokers have the car?
-
Plaza Auto Transport is one of them
-
I am looking for an open transport
-
It will move for what you are paying. Just takes time to get the right person going to right direction. One car is ONLY one piece of the puzzle of putting together a load off of Central. The smallest of carriers need to find 2 more units just to make the trip out west & if they have any experience, they will know there is not much to nothing coming back this time of year.
If it is the MDX.
Plaza Auto Transport has it posted @ $857 or .$36 cpm
We Will Transport it Corp @ $1400 or .$.59 cpm
Total Car Shipping @ $1500 or $.63 cpm
(The above numbers are to the truck. Does not include brokerage fee's).
Keep in mind all 3 of those co's are brokerages looking for a carrier. They do not own their own trucks.
Good luck.fatendestinee, Dorsey and SHO-TYME Thank this. -
oh my gosh $1500? ... why did another company post $1500, i didn't even tell them to or sign anything. i am so screwed. anybody have any ideas on how to get it shipped?? i guess wait??
-
A lot of these co's are screwballs with their small print. Know for a fact that another brokerage in So. FL auto posts all quotes onto Central. They consider when you click the free quote tab that you agree to their terms.
Central Dispatch is just the host website, so they are out of it liability wise. The agreements of shipping dates & financial terms are between the customer, broker & carrier. That said, Central is the largest data base for both brokerages & carriers. If you are considering the USHIP route, keep in mind that is a snake pit of more brokers. Who will quote something & then post to Central.
The best you can do is ask Total to take your post down. Tell them you no longer need the car shipped. But check the terms to be sure they do not have your cc number nor have taken a deposit.fatendestinee Thanks this. -
What if these companies are not answering my phone calls to take the post off? is there a way the post can be taken off central dispatch?
