Reindeer is the next best. Actually better than DAS. DAS sucks nowadays. I use to say DAS and Reindeer were the best when it came to moving POV's. They both have rollbacks pick and drop the cars at the residence and the transport picks and drops at terminals. Car carriers don't need to be trying to do picks and drops in neighborhoods. DAS doesn't seem to be any better than the south Florida brokers nowadays.

I learned something today, never had heard of Reindeer, nor did I know about the bounced checks from DAS. Like I said, I don't really like them, worked for the company that has the contract for their Albuquerque terminal for about 2 years, that was almost 2 years ago so a lot can change over time. I know DAS has been phasing out their company drivers, think they have gone to all owner operators and lease purchase drivers now, which could be contributing to the decline in service from them.

Do you want you car moved by someone who isn't paying the carriers to move vehicles for them?

How about the guy who contacted me to move a car for him, then got a bid from DAS, which was cheaper, he wanted enclosed. When his vehicle showed up, it was in a curtain side trailer, full of salt, (And this was an Arizona car), when he contacted DAS, they told him that was their enclosed and he could go pound sand.

    How's that for ethnicity?

I'd say Reindeer also, don't move a lot for them, but they're always straight up people.

Just watch all of the Chevy Chase Family Vacation movies & you will know all of what NOT to do while driving cross country.:biggrin_25520: Given the snow bird season (& if the brokerage have not found a carrier or billed your cc), I would definitely look into flying to FL & driving back. Of course there is also the amount of time off from work or regular activities you may have going.

Regardless, please keep this updated as to how it turns out. If there is a carrier assigned & you have questions, by all means, post 'em up.
