Elkton, MD @ Flying J which seems to be a used-ta-was Petro by the setup. Sitting empty with 24 minutes left on the ol' 70. Hoping to get a few more miles before Wednesday but the weekend crew seems to be passing out team loads to us solos again. Dover, DE to Missouri in 18 hrs as a solo? Maybe back in the old days when speed was a legal tool and the national speed limit was still the ol' double nickle. I have about 1900 so far this week, I'm hoping that things improve enough to get another 1100 to 1500 by Wednesday. We'll see what tomorrow brings.

Sounds like certain planners are desperate to get a load covered.

At the Petro in Beaumont TX.

Finished up 4 days at home and was given a paper load from Evadale to Marion IN. Was supposed to be a live load at 7am Saturday morning but when I arrived the product was not made, Swift failed to schedule an appt and load wouldn't be ready until after 00:01 Sunday...the usual BS.

Planner told me to wait at the shipper for the 20 or so hours. I refused to hang out with no facilities on a patch of dirt. Just not in the mood and went back to Beaumont and ran out the 8 hrs of detention. Going back at 01:30 to do the load.

Checked out prospective employers on my time off and will continue to do so while I'm out. I need a change and want to get home at least every weekend.

On my last full day of home time. It's been beautiful. Every morning wake up to a preplan for a cushy beer run.

Always a live load and live unload.

    Rattlebunny and Moosetek13 Thank this.

perris ca....while sitting in terminal watching some crap tv show, planner last nite ask if i can do a hot load today. load was in yard and had to be in montebello by 0700. said ok, i'll still get a 34 reset......wrong!!. while driving around yard looking for the loaded trailer, qc put me on driveline and didnt know it till 1.5 hrs later. was on driveline for 5 min then went to onduty for rest. edit the onduty back to offduty. then can in this morning and ask jeremy(weekend fm) if he could fix it. he said no, have to call safety. think i still be ok to run off caps. just have to log as if i'm otr again. didnt think i was driving that fast. must have went to high gear without remembering. oh well

^^^^Yep, same #### thing happened to me while driving around the JV yard looking for a trailer. Since then I've taken care to have the HOS up and running while cruising the yard, then stop every now and then to see if it kicked me to drive time. As long as you quickly set it back to Off Duty then all is good.

It's speed and distance, so even if you putt around once you drive a mile or however far, it kicks you to the drive line. Obnoxious. Happened to me too.

trailer wasnt where it was marked on map. so ended up driving around the whole yard looking for it. yarddog grabs trailers that are not parked in traiker spots and parks them when a spot opens up. i know better, should've looked at hos graph to make sure. i'll be able to work 10 hrs a day this week as long as i save time on onduty line. usually stay onduty the whole time i'm working since i never use all of the 70.
