Just saying hey. I have been out of trucking for 13 years and now that the kids are all grown up and out of the house I am ready to take the wife and hit the road. I am about 2 months from "retiring" from my current job and can't wait to get back to it!

    Chinatown Thanks this.

I'm a newbie here. Drove OTR from '84-'88 and looking to get back out there. Been poking around on the forums for a couple of weeks. A lot has changed.
A big 'Thank You' to all of you that share your knowledge and experiences.

Go for it man. I first started 18 years ago but only stayed a few months. I thought I was gonna get married but me and the woman fell apart. Then I started enjoying the single life too much and didn't want to go on the road. Four years ago I was out of work and said to my self "Why the heck not?" I've never been happier. Even if I am miserable once in a while. You know the deal, hungry. tired, etc. Most days though I'm glad that I gave it another shot.

    Welcome Back!!

Yeah alot has changed, I always loved driving and have been waiting for the last munchkin to graduate to get back into it. Im finding out that most of these companies want you to go back to school if your experience is ten years or more. This forum is great for finding those companies that will work with ya.
