I have to inform you that you are incorrect in your statement about felons and hazmat endorsements.
Read the rules and you will find that only people with certain offenses are barred from obtaining a hazmat or twic.
I know first hand because I is a felon with a hazmat though so far I have not needed it.

A recruiter still has guidelines and standards to go by to be able to recruit drivers.

I know this is months old but I thought I'd set the record straight here: I got approved for Haz-Mat and I have a felony. So it all depends on what it was. On the TSA website they have a list of disqualifying felonies.

I have a friend that was put in certain position 20 yrs ago and was charged with non intentional murder. He was sentenced to 20 yrs and served 10 and did 10 on parole. He completed his parole last year and now wants to get into trucking but finding it very hard for anyone willing to give him a chance. Does anyone know of anyway he can get his cdl and any company big or small that would give him a chance ?

I have a friend that did 10 years in prison and 10 years on parole for no intentional murder. He completed his parole in 2013 and is having a hard time finding someone to train him to get his cdl.

Sometimes the unemployment office will pay for CDL school. There's several companies that will hire him after he completes CDL school.

He will have to get a DOT physical before school and a urine test for drugs. 100% of trucking companies require drug urine test and a few require hair follicle.

Ive worked with a few. Also, when I was interviewing for the school I went to there was about six lovely ladies talking to us applicants. All around me I heard them asking. "Tell me about your last arrest" or "How much time did you serve" The beautiful eastern-European girl taking my application asked me"No arrests?" No ma'am I replied. She smiled and said "rather refreshing"
