Now as far as the actual HP on the engine, the plate says 450, you guys say 350, one thing I say is that this Lone Star, with the hummins cummins, pulls better than the Detroit I had in my Cascadia, the real test will come when I take her across the Rockies, Donner and the Grapevine, then I will know what she's made of, but I have to wait until I get my reefer first before I can start running Cali again.

    TruckinDrummer Thanks this.

It's just what the scan gauge is saying for horse power, not what it's rated for. And I agree, most cummins pull better than Detroit engines.

When you go to orientation, do they keep you in the same room the entire time, or do you have to take everything with you everyday until you're done with orientation?

Nm, recruiter answered my question. Supposed to get your own room and it's the same room all through orientation wether you are hired or sent home. At least they'll pay to get you home if disqualified. So far from what I've read, be honest, use your grey matter between your ears during the test drive and you'll do fine in orientation.

Yeah I stayed at the La Quinta, which was not bad, nice breakfast or you can eat at the term. Orientation is in one big room, one side for Celadon folks, and one side for Eagle, you will be on the Eagle side through out orientation, so you can leave your books there, and yes, you do stay in one hotel room.

When I get to Quality and have them turn up the speed, I am going to see if they can check the actual HP on my engine.

I live in Nebraska, and they had a time finding a load to my area, now that may be an Eagle thing since they concentrate on the East, that is why I wanted reefer, so I would have better chances of getting a load to home and running Cali.

Now if any of you are going used, ask if you can see what they have at the Eagle office on W. Raymond, Quality has a lot there also, but it is 12 miles from term, and you have to go there once you are ready to sign your lease with Eagle, someday orientation will be at that location, they are remodeling the place now.
