If the brakes are that bad out of adjustment then you seriously need to put that trailer out of service!!!!!!!!!!!! Before you get in a wreck and kill some one, maybe even yourself.
And a leaking trailer brake coupling has nothing to do with the brakes being set, the system evacs the air, thats why the brakes set.
optimized idle sucks!

I tried to fool the Optimized idle by only using only the trl. brake, No brakes only using wheel chocks, using a stick to apply slight throttle or slight clutch and nothing worked. I see in the bunk control there is a way to put in a code. If we could get that code perhaps that would work.

I know our trucks back in 99 had the auto shutdown and we would just bump the cruise control to bring the engine up about 50 rpm's and it wouldn't shut the motor off. I don't know if that works anymore since I've been retired for sometime now but it's worth a shot.
-
I forgot. When doing this you need to turn on cruise and bump it up one time (the idle). Sorry. -
too bad u dont have an international. i could tell ya how to make it run all night and not register idle % time. i myselfe am not bothered by it.....but
if that cqualcomm beeps, even turned really low, i wake up. -
I hear the Qualcomm beep all the time, now. At home, in the truck stop, at the campground... it drives me nuts.

The Qualcomm is easy to get around!! You can't just turn it down. Your dispatch can send an emergency beep through that will come in at full volume. When I need to sleep I hang the dam thing out of the passanger window, roll it up and hope for rain!!! If you don't want to go that extreme you can put a towel on it and your refrigerater on top of the towel. Then that thing will be as quiet as a mouse. Good Night!!

You can always unplug it. I used to. Just take the 2 screws out the back holding the cable, unplug and your done. I just left the screws out of it so I could unplug it without having to do that all the time.

there is 2 wires that go to your parking brake valve for the optimized idle you can unplug the right one and it will not shut down you have to look for the right one becase some are on your air lines that go to the pressure valves in the dash
