For what it's worth, I learned a couple days ago from a Schneider recruiter that they (Schneider) do not allow direct-wired inverters in their trucks (that is, the kind that would be large enough to power a small microwave oven); they allow only the type up to a couple hundred watts that would plug into a 12V power socket. For me, who wants to be able to occasionally heat up food I've brought with me from home rather than live on the truck stop stuff, that was a serious limitation.

Have you researched Conway Truckload?

Yes, I filled iut the contact information and no-one called back.
I am all set to start with Schneider and I am just ready to get this ball rolling. I have an offer from am owner operator who is contacted with FedEx but there is no opportunity to go solo so I chose Schneider. -
Good luck to ya..... My contract was for 60k miles, at 6 weeks (from start date) I was at .34 a mile and I had the luxury of out 7 days home 4, out 7 then home 3..... (Second verse same as the first). Go with what works for you and good luck!

It isn't a big deal by itself. Having to pay for your own filter wrench to work on their truck isn't a big deal either. Having to pay for your own passport and TWIC card to operate their truck isn't a big deal either. Having the trucks turned down a couple of MPH isn't either. Having to avoid tollroads to save them money but lose your time isn't either. Not getting a load because of poor planners or not getting a bonus because of something out of your control isn't that big of a deal either. None of this stuff if really a big deal by itself. But it starts adding up after a while and you have to be a mighty strong camel not to get your back broken.RavenHairedGemini Thanks this. -
Not sure of any companies that pay for your passport or TWIC card, especially since I'm required to have a TWIC and use it every day at my job now.
Having the trucks turned down isn't a big deal, they're owned by the company
Avoiding tollroads though, I always went on the toll roads to save time, paid for it out of my own pocket
It still comes down to, if you don't want to work for them, don't... rather than complaining about it.
My last company had all auto transmissions in the trucks, I hate autos, so I switched companies. Anyone can do the same if they don't like how a company runs their business.
