Hey catchy phrase! Holy flying monkeys! I kinda like the sound of that, Shortcircuit27. I DON'T think I'm worthy of writing but thank you very kindly. I DID make a web page for my family and friends to describe the "Werner Experience" that I had. There are stories and some pics and a few links (with The Truckers Report prominently displayed, of course). My people seemed to get a chuckle out of it so I thought I might make it public. Anyhow, I hope I 'aint breaking any rules but the web site I made is called click here kinda catchy, eh? It is non-commercial.

I would really like to thank all of those who gave positive comments.

Keep on Truckin....and let me know....

Take it from me, the original post on this thread is more the NORM than the rarity.

I have been through 5 trainers between CRST and Werner combined.

And I did not finish the training programs.

Although, I have 20,000 verfiable miles, I cannot deal with the trainer / trainee situation and so have ended my career early.

For anyone who might think that they want to be a trucker, think again.

About the only thing that might prepare someone for this training experience would be 9 - 12 months in jail. Well, actually, a prison would be a better environment, because at least you wouldn't have to share beds with old Billy Butt Crack. I have worked as a corrections officer before, and I can assure you, that if given a choice to spend 8 weeks in the county jail or 8 weeks over-the-road with a trainer, that I would rather be counting bars.

Truckin ain't for everyone. If you appreciate exercise, fresh air, healthy food, and space, think again on this one.

Try driving around the whole freagin nation in a room about the size of a large closet. Now imagine sharing this closet with a homeless man, who hasn't seen a shower in weeks, a man who knows everything about everthing that ever was, will be, or has been, a man where the first thing out of his mouth every morning is negative and after that the mood is set for the day. A man, who refuses to sleep any more than 3 hours at a shot due to his inability to breath cause he's so freagin fat that his abdominals muscles can't inhale... prescription drugs are rattling around the cab to keep this sewer sack of schit alive. Already stopped for 15,000 coffee breaks, and he wonders why he can't sleep!

    It's freagin' insane and I can't stand it! :biggrin_2551:

No, I don't do well living with others in such a god awful environment, and I wonder, who the hell can?

Later Dude's post was the funniest thing I've read in a long time! Too bad his spelling left a lot to be desired. But still, he's a very entertaining guy! I do feel badly for his horrible experience at Werner. Live, learn, and grow wiser! Drive safely!

Reminds me a lot of my time with Werner trainers back in late '01/early '02. Not a big deal because I found a good paying job driving a straight truck.

I had that EXACT same thought while training! You WOULD be better off
in jail because you WOULD have many more options to deal with your cell mates hygiene issues and "correct" any misconceptions of being intellectually, socially or physically superior. IF ya know what I mean.

    DUDE! HOLD YER HORSES!!!

Truck driving is way cool! I promptly got a nice local job after getting released from the joint AKA Werner Enterprises. You are by yourself
all day unsupervised, only have to kiss up to customers every now and then, and you get to make loud noises and scare people with the Jake! (Chicks dig this) What more could any red blooded American want, by God!

So DON"T give up yet pardner.

    Try a local job first!

    Happy Trails and
