They had me t-call my load in Gary instead of Columbus, which I did this morning.
Shortly before I arrived I got a decent pplan, although it doesn't pick up until tomorrow morning.

And I had a heck of a time trying to get an mt for this load.
Gary was out so the guy at the window told me to do a mac 0 to ask for one.
I did that and got the reply - Go in the terminal and have them find you one.
So I go back in and the guy at the window says that is not his job. So he makes a call and tells someone that he hasn't been trained for trailer solutions, so please find me one.
I get a message from a planner in Memphis saying that nothing is open, and besides I don't pick up for nearly 24 hours.
I called Jurupa and told a DM of the run around I was getting and he said he would message a planner.
About 15 minutes later I had my trailer solution, finally.

Pick up in Lincoln, IL in the morning headed for SC the next day. D/H on both ends.

Hey moose, earlier this week I responded to a post you had made about my trailer SNAFU's and I'm not proud of the way I reacted. I certainly could have used more tact and professionalism. Just because I disagree with someone doesn't mean I need to react in the way I did, and for that I apologize.

Also, I had issues two weeks ago getting a empty in Gary, and I ended up finding that the row farthest away from the terminal entrance was filled with shiny new empties they were holding for the local and GLR guys. I managed to call my DM and get attached. Not sure if they still do that or if I just got lucky though.

On the other hand I often say things in a way that gets a rise out of someone, though not really meaning to.
No need to apologize, at all.

And thanks for the info on the mt's.
I was just glad to be out of there and on my way. There were a dozen drivers sitting around with no loads, and I'm not sure how I lucked out to get one before I delivered.

This place is going to get boring if we start getting all civil with each other.

    Up yours, hosehead!

    Is that better?

If not, I'll really try harder next time.

    Redding, CA at the Petro.

Since getting off home time last Monday morning I soloed a load up to Boise and then back down to Stockton. The bummer was it was a live unload for Friday morning as a JIT and the customer wouldn't take it early. I could have delivered it Thursday morning and had to wait.

I also got a call from driver development begging me to take on a trainee in Lathrop. I agreed, might as well at least help another driver get his 50 before I get to OKC to start another job.

Friday the live unload took 7 hours. Almost two hours of that was waiting in front of our assigned dock for someone to come out and cut the seal so we could back in, they forgot about us. That meant our next load from SF to LA was taken off us, the one I was going to have my trainee run. Then we got another load picking up a drop and hook at Safeway in Tracey at midnight. Arrived and that was cancelled. Did a couple dozen Mac-30's and several phone calls until about 7:00 on Saturday to snag a load delivering in Ontario Saturday night, then went to JV terminal bobtail at midnight to get our next load for Sunday.

Went to the dispatch window to get our t-call and it was cancelled because the trailer was in the shop. I requested a load heading east for my OKC home time request. Instead we got this load to Redding and ran it to deliver at midnight. During the day sent a couple dozen Mac-30's with nothing, then a load offer came in for us to deadhead to Klamath Falls and take a load back down to LA. I turned it down, noting that we had been puddle jumping since Thursday and needed to make home time by the 9th in OKC...

... and immediately had second thoughts about that. The bubble map in JV showed huge red bubbles EVERYWHERE except for a few small green bubbles in JV, Laredo, and a handful of planning areas back east...

... screw it. We decided to sleep the night and see what this morning would bring. I woke up to a preplan picking up near Sacramento going all the way to Olathe, KS! SWEET!

Trainee has over two years experience, but all pulling end dumps locally, so he has to do the full 200 hours training for OTR. His shifting is great, his backing is great. He'll be primed and ready for a mentor, ready to run as a team from OKC starting sometime this coming weekend.

Sitting in Tuscaloosa AL getting screwed over by a shipper yet AGAIN!! Been here 5 hours so far and still waiting for a dock to get loaded. They've already run my 14 out and of course after I eventually get loaded they said I cannot stay. Notified my ECT of a pending HOS violation as soon as I start moving. I'm not gonna stress it because at this point I could care less.

Picked this load up on mac30 yesterday before getting unloaded in Hattiesburg this morning. Ends with a D/H in Joliet IL. Didn't really want to get near Chicago again so soon but there are slim pickings for loads in southern MS. I'm sure that the Manteno planners will shove another short garbage run for Costco down my throat next.

I had a very easy drop in a place with very tight dock space. Luckily I just had to find a spot to drop it instead of putting it in a dock.

Then I start getting pplans that didn't give me enough time for the live loads. I had about 3 hours left on my 14.
I got tired of that and called a DM to reset my PTA for tomorrow morning at 0600.
15 minutes later I get another pplan that was more reasonable. It picks up 45 minutes away at 0800, another live load, and delivers the next day at 0600 in KY.
I'll get there a bit early to hopefully give me a bit more time with the load.
It seems loads are plentiful here.

I got laundry done, and an overdue shower, so I'm a happy camper tonight.

I'm happy too we could smell you all the way in Charlotte! Joking! Though if anyone ever needs a place to do in 10 in the Charlotte area send a PM. The truck stops here are not big and the Pilots a hellhole.
