Throw it in the sidebox and next time you are atthe terminal ask the shop to install it for you. Sure they wont mind.

That's exactly what I'll do, though I don't get to one of our three East Coast shops often. In fact, I haven't been to one (Emporia, Virginia) since I was assigned this truck six weeks ago. I kind of wish I'd had the air gun then; that is, by far, the most pleasant and least busy of our shops.
But I'm not going to throw it away. Heck, the darned thing cost $25! -
Hey DD, do you have any info on Western's new pet program? Just researching flatbed companies and WE pet program info on here is outdated. I will be asking if/when I call a recruiter.
Thanks for your posts about WE. Keeps me informed. -
As it often works out, I'm #2 in line at the steel plant, the guy in front of me is just now getting loaded, and I have less than 3 hrs to get in, get loaded, get strapped, get out, and get to the truck stop 25 miles of Kentucky country roads away.
Can an he make it? Stay tuned for the exciting conclusion of As The Steel Turns!Last edited: May 4, 2015

And now! the exciting conclusion of As The Steel Turns!
When last we met, well-wishers were casting positive vibes into the Ethernet in hopes of helping me make my desired stop before turning into a pumpkin...or Western Express jack slope, since driving pumpkins was never on my bucket list.
Alas, the well wishes of readers did not have the desired effect. The loading took forever and cinching these fence-like things is weird, especially the way they loaded it. I fear many load securement stops are in my near future...
And when I left the loading bay, I developed a major air leak in the rear of the trailer which prevented the brakes from releasing, so I sat there for a bit, waiting for the pressure to build up enough; I had visions of spending the night in a driveway...
...but that didn't happen. The brakes finally released, the air leak self-resolved, and I departed with 19 minutes on the clock. My plan to make the Pilot 22 miles away? Hah! I made it to Hickman, Kentucky, a small - very small - burg of 2 intersecting numbered roads plus a Marathon gas station with convenience store.
Dinner is a Cluckers selection and two RC's. Hey...it could be worse. Or better.
Tomorrow, a Pilot somewhere near Dutton, Michigan, to overnight before delivery on the 6th. Then, hopefully, 3 days off...the receiver is ½ mile from my house!Mtn Gal, double yellow and popcorn169 Thank this. -
yay, finally get your stuff!
