Change the platform that the delta
sit on--$26. You might want to change the tubings as well too. $100 I have a 05 century classic that did the exact thing. wasted 3k at Freightliner of Carson CA. They said there was a code 39 so they change the cooler and EGR valve My truck still sputtered going up hill. Then someone suggested changing the delta sensor and that's when I saw the cracked platform. Change it out myself change out my self. Now it runs fine-- no more sputtering going up hill. Screw you Freightliner!!!Last edited: May 5, 2015

don't pay attention if 39 code comes and goes. take off the delta p and clean ports. also clean venture tubes and platform ports. use gunk engine cleaner, piece of wire and hot water. if delta p is bad(or miscalibrated) it will give you different code. the code will be permanent. also check silicone brown hoses on egr pipe for leak. fyi code 39 has 4 different subcodes. if someone need it I can give egr technician guide for series 60 epa4 engines.

It's a 07. I would change out all the fitting to the delta p sensor--delta p sensor, platform, metal tubings & both EGR flex tubes--one at the bottom the other across valve cap. Just to be sure...
