This is all so true. I've been driving local and have a great job. I miss the road, and I think I can make a go of it as an O/O. Looked at a tractor today. I filled out a generic on line app for lease purchase, and have received many offers. Out of 15 companies, only 2 have given me specific details. The rest never even responded when I was up front about what I make now, and what I expect if I leave my job, and go to work for someone else. I may even lease on to one with my own tractor. There is one company that is very open, but they run Volvo's for their L/P, and I want none of that. But its so amazing, and sad how so many prey upon your need.
