yeah I really don't want to put my broker through that its not fair to him ive been working with him for 2 years now and he always gets the good paying loads we have made each other alot of money over the past 2 years. if he would only see what the loads are really paying out there this is not the best time for freight its come up a little but this time last year it was way better. let him try out the load boards most of the loads on there dont get taken down once there booked so half the ones you call about aren't available anymore load boards are a big time waster at least my broker will have the next one booked before you even get to your delivery sometimes he will book a truck for a whole week solid. that was my selling point I don't ever have trucks sit not saying it cant happen if things get bad but it hasn't happened yet

Some owner operators get focused on the little things it clouds their judgment. It is a shame.

I only want to haul coast to coast loads weighing less than 10,000 pounds and pay at least $4.99 per mile. However, at times I have hauled some loads that weigh a little more and payed a little less!:Driver:

My answer would be what do you have after that load and where is it going. I'm an o/o and when I talk to dispatch I try to think one step ahead of them.

Anything over 40,000 lbs has to be over $2.00, if its not then I won't take it, unless I'm in the area such as Denver, where u take whatever u can just to get out of there,
