I have this new issue with my truck. Traction control light is on, on the dash and the switch is lit up as well. The light came on right after loading and leaving a shipper with 46k of mulch. Once it came on it never went off... Now, I usually don't load this heavy,... Does this have anything to do with it? I don't know. Can I disable this system? What can I do to troubleshoot it, what will happen if I keep driving on like this? I haven't noticed any power differences, but I don't want to screw a differential up. I never use the system, and the times I've actually needed it, it never helped. I really don't care to spend a thousand plus dollars looking to fix this, heck, I don't even wanna spend $500 on it. I'm not going to be cheap either, just am curious to what I can be looking into myself first.
any suggestions? , or anyone care to share some wisdom or experience on this? The threads on this matter on TTR are vague and never really solved the issue.
thanks. In advance.
forgot got to add... (2009 Peterbilt 387 isx CM871) When I turn the key for ignition, there's no sound of my relays going off, u know, like the regural clicking sounds that come after turning the key. Does this mean it could be fuse/electrical related?
I hate sound like I don't know much lol.. Just haven't experienced this one yet...
thnks

Does anybody know what relay or fuse the TCS runs off of?

Sid:89 fmi:2 yaw rate sensor intermittent
This is what the code was. I must of gyrated the yaw sensor when I was off road loading soil, that combined with the abs issues I had with my trailer, all set an active code. I was told that those codes stay on in case of a post-accident investigation. The code must be cleared with software, they used j-proHeavyd Thanks this. -
I had an abs sensor in a Volvo go out because it was soaked in gear oil from a bad wheel seal. Got a warning light from both the abs and traction control system. I think they use the same sensor.
bigNATURE Thanks this. -
what did it cost to replace the sensor
