Here's something for you guys considering TMC as a trucking company choice. I was with TMC for about 6 months and here's some things you guys should know. 1.) they put cameras in their trucks and they tell you they aren't always on but that is a total lie. 2.) trucks are governed at 62MPH. 3.) Pay isn't bad but it isn't great either be prepared for some $500-$600 loads that'll take you a couple days to deliver and that in turn makes for a crapy pay check. 4.) starting out your looking at $800-$900 a week and be prepared to do some tarping. 4.) Tim H is a complete jerk. 5.) during your training your gonna be pretty much the trainers b$&ch. 6.) you will get a company load here and there that pays $.25 per mile. 7.) if you need repairs on your truck and they route you to Des Moines be prepared to wait and loose revenue. 8.) did I mention they put cameras in their trucks.

1 - Can't speak on that. Seems doubtful though. At least from what I know.
2 - You should've known this before you hired on with them.
3 - One of the downsides to percentage pay.
4 - Again, you should've known this before you hired on with them. It's well known 98% of their loads are tarped. If you have a thing against tarping why would you sign-up with them?
5 - That's kinda the whole thing. Albeit, you'll probably exaggerate how bad it really was. If it was that bad... get a new trainer.
    6 - Again, doubtful.
7 - Welcome to trucking, hotshot. You think the rest of us are magically making money when our trucks are in the shop?

You can call them yourself and see if they don't put cameras in their trucks. I had one in mine and came to TMC as an experienced driver with no accidents or anything and still had one in the truck. They even have microphones in them because they listened to a conversation I had on the phone and yes I was using my Bluetooth but evidently they didn't want you using that either. If you like driving for TMC that's great more power to you but I wish someone would have mentioned the camera thing before I wasted my time with them

I never doubted that they put cameras in their trucks. Pretty sure that's been a topic of debate on here for some time now. I doubt that it's always on just because.

Never drove for TMC. But if you don't do your due diligence on a company there's no one to blame but yourself.

I'm not one to stick up for TMC but.... 1. You have 1 year experience and you're an experienced driver? 2. You're supposably an experienced driver and you went to work for a starter company?

What is the issue ? If I was a fleet owner of a Starter-Company, you better believe that I would have Camera's in the truck. Some weeks paychecks are better than others....WELCOME TO TRUCKING ! Feel fortunate you did not sign a fleece-Lease !

In reference to the phone conversation. Most companies are going the way of no talking on the phone at all while driving... Bluetooth or not Bluetooth

The "fired if walking on the grass rule" should say it all about TMC; the driver is valued less than the lawn. Why is anything else a surprise?

No, it shows, at least to me, is that TMC has high standards that they want their people to adhere to. If someone can't follow a "keep off the grass" sign, they probably won't follow other simple instructions, either.
