how to find boost leak

    Normally the air compressor is supply by the turbo boost from the engine intake manifold, when you pull a load on a long hill the air in the intake come warmer before the fan clutch engage for the water temp, check the air compressor hose between the intake manifold (just under the boost sensor)and the inlet of the air compressor.
    Also sometimes we have situation with corrosion between the intake manifold casting and the cylinder head close the cylinder no 5 and 6 and the steel gasket generate hissing noise under boost due of lack of clamping load.

    Thanks for all the replys. I think I have found the problem, while looking things over I found that one of my intake manifold bolts is missing! I have one on the way from Detroit but what worries me is why its missing. I can see the threads so no bolt is broken off in there but maybe they got stripped? I'm hoping some idiot just forgot to install one :crossed fingers:
