I worked with a guy who had several felonies. One was attempted murder on a cop. He got his job through a temp agency.

My wife's uncle did time for drug possession and was even charged for murder but the case was dismissed and he drives.

some local dirt hauling companies here in Southern California don't even look at your criminal record. I don't know how it is wherever you live but you might want to look into that

You made some really poor choices , and they will limit you. Yes you might find work , but it will be an up-hill fight at best. Ask your self this , are you up to it , can you handle the stress of working for a company that really doesn't care , do you want those kids raised in day care or by someone else , One poster said said to check out local construction companies , logging outfits , etc , great advice , Me , my advice would be stay away from this industry , for a while anyway , go to a community college , learn a trade such as electrician , plumber , H-VAC , all of those pay very well , and are home daily , that sort of career is more suited for you and especially those children......Good Luck.
