It's decent. My partners ATT COVERAGE was better.

I have Verizon. Service is better than Virgin for sure, but the cost is just outrageous.

I have Sprint, mainly stick to the east coast. Coverage is fine for phone use. Coverage for useable data can leave a lot to be desired, it's usually available, but many times very slow unless you're real close to a big city. I'm real tempted to go with VZW because I know the data coverage is a lot better, but I do like my unlimited and relatively cheap (comparably) data on Sprint.

I recently drove from Las Vegas to the South (driving 40) and my Sprint Prepaid Service wasn't too bad. I just don't want to switch my service right now...unless its absolutely necessary. Thanks for all the feedback!

I've considered a second cell plan with unlimited, but with shoddy coverage and most throttle speeds down after 2 gig I wonder if I'd even be worth it.

    I pay $142 a month for Verizon
    unlimited talk and text
    6 gigs of data
one smartphone, one iPad, shared data.

gets me all the TTR I want plus a little YouTube.

    Sean_Reno Thanks this.

I pay $30 for unlimited everything...GREAT Coverage where I live. I've just never been an OTR Driver before, so I'm not sure what does the job.

I've ran Sprint, Boost MObile and Verizon and they are LITERALLY the same. Your phone battery will really deplete quickly in areas of no service or low signal. The data is slow. I switched to Verizon, and places where I didn't have coverage, like most of Oklahoma...I now have coverage. Prepaid cell towers, even Straight Talk which runs on Verizon, I ran into the same problems with coverage. Get a contract provider, get full access. I'm done with prepaid.

Basic phone coverage in most areas will be the same between the top 3, (Verizon, AT&T, Sprint). Its not until you get into the remote areas where you learn to appreciate Verizon's service. That and 95% of the time you have LTE coverage everywhere that you have a signal. Thats something Sprint does not have. Their data coverage area sucks. I can be in the middle of the Nevada Outback, find somewhere to park and settle down to fall a sleep watching Netflix or Hulu.

If you want a cheap bill,.. go with Sprint. If you want the largest service area for OTR,.. go with Verizon. Yes you will pay more. My bill is in the $260 range for 4 lines ( Honestly not sure, wife pays the bills online,. I just make the money, last I asked it was $249 or $259), unlimited everything with 60gb data for laptop tethering.

Wish my bill was less,.. but I want/need the best service I can get. I had Sprint for 6 yrs and was happy with them locally. Wasnt until I went OTR that I became disgusted with their service.
