If anyone could have their pick of any truck, of any vintage, what would it be? Would you want to drive what your father or grandfather drove for a living? What's your favorite?

I like the looks of the old square hood macks myself, but I would INSIST on an air ride chasis and cab. but then the old 359 petes have a place in my heart.

I don't guess it would be too awful difficult to take a 359 with a 4-spring Reyco and a rigid mtd. cab and convert it to air-ride. I believe air-ride kits install pretty easily on cabs. The suspension may be a horse of a different color though. Some modification may be needed there...

    70's White, IH, Ford...I don't care as long as it's a COE, with a 450HP 855 Cummins Big Cam (or a Detroit 8V92TA) & a 13-speed. :)

    Day-cab: Ford C7000 with a turbo 3208 Cat & a 9-speed.

R Model Mack, Day Cab with the silver-grey interior, ENDT676 Two-valve engine with American Bosch Injection Pump, TRXL107 6-speed, 44,000 Mack rears 4.17 ratio on Camelback with bronze bushings, 12,000 front axle, Two line wet line for running dump or detachable. Power steering, Air ride cab, Air sliding fifth wheel, Factory air 12.00R22.5,,,,,,,,,,,,,

I Think I could do something with a truck like that, Probably get 400 Hp out of it after a little recalibration, and they would be 400 real big Mack horses all the way from 1200-2500. Probably set the "high idle" to about 26 or so. Might not be a bad idea to go to a 15 1/2" Spicer Angle Spring ceramic,,,,,,,,,,,,,,
