I've never been one to eat when I'm hot. Just hook me up with some water or Gatorade and I'm good to go for 10-12 hrs.
I know your right, truck driver.

There's two Pilots at the same exit north of town. I'll have to mention that to the powers that be.

If I have breakfast, it's usually just a bowl of cereal. Either that or a sausage egg and cheese biscuit from the local convenient store. Also, I've never been one to bring anything with me to work. It'd be so much cheaper and convenient if I would, but I just don't.

    Congratulations on your gig Scarecrow.

I have tried to get one of those type gigs also. With the sslllloooow
economy it is near impossible. I did get a tip on a job yesterday and am going Monday and knock on their door.

Even with the slow economy, my company is still hiring people. Mostly laborers, since a lot of the young kids around here don't like to work for their money. However, they again asked me this past week if I knew of any good drivers looking for a job. I replied with a smart alack comment similar to, "There aren't any drivers better than me."

All I'm trying to say is that smaller companies that have been around for a while are going to make it through the current economic down cycle and might even grow.

I hope your job search goes well. Best of luck.

    scarecrow's got it made.

I too love my job. I fell into a local gig with a family member of mine after I was laid off at R/S Body Co.

Drive tri-axle dump hauling aggregate and asphalt. We do a lot of state and federal highway projects though.

Here's a few pics I shot the other day, just for fun....:biggrin_2559:
