13 Speed Tranny complete STOP

13 speed upside down H pattern it goes like this

R 1 4
L 2 3 LOW SIDE

5 8
6 7 HIGH SIDE

Flip side switch FORWARD & you have 13 Speed

but when you are on the High side and have it wide open running you flip the dog Forward and it automatically rolls to 13 speed,Once you go to slow down and if your on the high side,you can not shift on the low side once the dog is flipped forward,

you have to come to a complete stop,and start shifting your way back up from low side again,i mean a complete stop so, i only use the 13 speed when im on a stretch of highway,but if im local in a city or in alot of traffic i only use it up to 8th gear.

Heres my question to the old timers and mechanics,what other ways can you slow down or split this tranny to go to the low side if possible with out starting over and coming to a complete stop?

 

Hmmm, ok i definitely try that,so when you shift out of 8 th and go to 13 gear do you flip the switch get off then back on throttle and it goes to 13 also like mines? What type of truck you run and what year?

Lmao,naw its a 95 International i bought it from a old guy who completely changed some things up, my mechanic said he never saw a international with a 12.7 detroit 60 series in it lol plus i dont think its a eaton fuller i believe its a Spicer lol

 

Your 13 speed is like mines as far as shift pattern? or is it like the super 10, i have seen alot of people split the gears like a super 10 but not a 13 speed, they split 18 and 15

 

Correct i have the high and low side separator in the middle of shift like a normal stick does, then theres the side switch on the left side of the stick and thats what you flip when you are on the high side that takes i from 8th gear to 13
