Adderall will show up as methamphetamine on a drug test
-
for the uninformed, amphetamine has a different effect on people with ADHD than it would on those without it, at least at prescribed doses....
Spreadneck and thealfa Thank this. -

THIS, AND ONLY THIS.
AT THE PRESCRIBED DOSAGES, YOU CAN RUN A TRUCKING COMPANY BETTER THAN A NAZI, FLY A PLANE BETTER THAN A NAZI, ETC.

I know it because I have a family member who works in the medical field. Not because I use drugs.

For every action there is an equal reaction and this holds true for the human body, when you keep it without sleep long enough, it will crash. No ifs and or buts. Prescribed and monitored treatment for ADHD can hardly be compared to how "pill-poppers" kept themselves going and how the populace would end up if allowed to run on meth (even medical grade stuff) to their heart's content. Too many have zero ability to moderate and when you don't moderate with virtually all drugs, alcohol, pot, nicotine, etc, bad things WILL happen. -
So here's how I see it. The medication may be legal and the doctor went through all the precautions but really it's left up to the company to employ you or keep you. If they have a policy then you are taking too much of a risk and with no doubt the company would point the finger at you. I believe that the FMCSR has back out of this area and dumped it on the doctors and companies. Which in the end has the driver really hanging out there. I would hate to go to court and have the other lawyer drilling me on the prescriptions I take. Then if you're in a civil case you'd have a hard time. It's best to not take any medication like this. If you can stop then that would be best. If you can not stop then talk to your doctor and get a safe replacement.
