    I dont know DD.There are a company that shares the NTB terminal on rodger b chaffee. But I think they do 1099 pay

    Well, I picked up my first load of lumber today. They loaded the trailer funny...they used all 53' of it, stacked two pallets high, with another three on top in the middle. My problem is I'm 800 lbs over on the spread axles, a total of 40,800.

    I'm pretty sure there's not a way to move 800 lbs forward with the 5th wheel, but what say you experienced flatbedders?

    And there's the nationwide DOT sweep June 2-4. Full inspections, securement checks, and other insanity. My guess is we'll be adding hours to our days. Wouldn't it be nice to get a nice easy load going 3 days drive away?

    I need no pain. I'm certainly not having much fun, ya know...? Parked for the night at a pay-to-park TA in Balitimore, just off I95. $15 cash, but I don't have a choice.

    Tomorrow morning, throw the two tarps on this monstrosity, though I'm not sure how; its irregular shape makes it challenging. Then 500 miles to Tennessee.

    I just wanted you to know DenaliDad that your thread has been interesting enough for me to join the forum and really applicable to my situation. THANK YOU for posting your experience! You have saved me a lot of headaches as I was considering going to Western in a week or so.
