One report last night said the semi was travelling at least 15 mph over the posted limit.
Which this brings up the topic, few months back I posted a rant about drivers speeding on I-70 in Colorado's mountains. I was told by a few people to mind my own business, and that they would speed where they want. So I wonder, for those who would ignore the speed limits for trucks, how do you look in prison orange? prison green? and what will your family do while you're in prison for the next 5 to 10 yrs? what will you do when you get out, since you'll be permanently banned from having a CDL
Highway worker killed, 4 vehicle accident, semi at fault

Another coming downhill on the ragged edge, too dumb to realize the day will come you have to stop, and you won't be able to.

striker don't worry about the idiots posting telling you to mind your own business. They are just that, idiots, if they are driving above the posted limits on those grades.
To quote an unknown post, or sig line I found some time ago on here:drvrtech77, flood, truckon and 5 others Thank this. -
Monarch pass is no place to test the limits of physics and luck. Well, there's another driver that learned the lesson the hard way ... and at the expense of another life.

Marksteven, 25(2)+2 and Big Don Thank this. -
There is a simple, maybe 2 mile long construction zone in Indiana on I 65 about the 235 maybe...55mph trucks use right lane...simple right?
Thing is that I can never go through there (2x daily) with at least....AT LEAST....two trucks doing 65+ in the left lane.
Thing is the lines are all jacked up...understandably...workers are right over the wall, sometimes walking right next to traffic. So when Harry F'n Hotshot sees this and realizes the lines for his lane are really now my lane...well they panic.
....and the time they saved cannot be measured. All they did was create a dangerous situation because of their ignorance.Anonymousproxy Thanks this. -
How much time does a driver save when he wrecks? Not only does he screw himself, but he affects all the drivers behind him. Racing through construction zones and burning ### down mountains ain't worth it.
