Thanks....I have kept up with your a couple recent threads on here. Averitt seems like a good company. So far everything my recruiter has said has been spot on with what you have said.
I applied to Averitt

Good to know I'm not lying. LOL Don't forget to use my driver # as a reference if you hire on.

I applied at Averitt for an hourly, day cab job out of the Jackson, TN terminal. Had a recruiter call and leave a voicemail to call her back. I've called her back 4 times and left messages and she has never called me. Not sure whats going on but I was really interested in the job.

I have had the exact same experience. -
The recruiters are pretty busy this time of year when I got hired it took her 3 days to get back with me. It's a test in patience. LOL But if you are interested, keep trying, they will call you back.

With Averitt being short on drivers all of the recruiters are extra busy.
Don't give up and keep calling them back -
Le sigh, I am sitting in a hotel in Kankakee/Bourbannis waiting for my truck to get looked at. Transmission kept locking up and reseting then locking up again. They won't be able to look at it until tomorrow and the place closes at 6pm every day so I might be here for a couple days.
-
>.> I called them to check on my truck and they said they wouldn't be able to pull it in to start on it til after they got back from lunch. That was at 1pm and I haven't heard from them since. I feel this may take awhile.

That sucks! I'm sorry. Can they give you a "loaner" truck to keep you on the road and earning a paycheck other than break down pay?
