California CARB requirements

    DO NOT buy a 2008 -10 truck ('07-09 engine). They have bankrupted many many trucking companies. The easy answer if you plan on operating in California is you need a 2011 or newer truck if you want to stay out of the shop and the poorhouse.

    Could you explain this please. I mean if I can get a 2011 tractor , and it will take me to 2023 like another guy said, I'm probably doing that. Ive found no help from the actual CARB site just confusion. Thank you.

    This is true, those years were the first EGR systems and are very trouble some. BUT there is a website that will help you maintain and trouble shoot a CUMMINS ISM engine only. RAWZE.COM
