    I should have just changed them, but I remember the hub assembly was quite expensive, and I asked them to only change it if necessary.

    I'll let you guys know when the fan goes all final destination into the radiator. Maybe some pics if I can get over the initial shock of two weeks pay circling the drain....

    I have an 02 Columbia and had the same problem. I went with the kit and broke a part inside the clutch assembly and had to buy the clutch anyway. Just take the shroud loose and lean it toward the engine to get at the fan. The fan can be worked out then lean the shroud back and go after the clutch. No need to remove the radiator hose. That's the way I did it, the century may be slightly different. I've read some post that say you can fool the ecm with a couple of resistors and the egr valve will closed. Good luck!

    your fan hub is leaking if you have air pressure. if you don't then will have to see what electrical pumps you have on truck

    Thanks Tanktrux. I finally got that booger out today using a method similiar to your own. I'll be creating a tutorial after all is said and done. I still removed the upper radiator hose since removing the fan shroud made it a lot easier to remove the hub (it's hard to wrestle with something 50lbs+). Initially I tried keeping the actual fan on, but that was a no go. Read the shop manual (some help but not much) and decided to separate the fan. Having the shroud loose allowed me to get at the fan bolts. (Like you said, pulling it towards the engine). Once that was free, I tried pulling out the hub but the shroud was annoying to work around. Since it was already loose I just pulled the shroud out - a lot more room :D

    Tomorrow I'll be putting all back together. I think I'll also use some tie down straps to help bear the load as I position it. For safety reasons it really is a two man job.

    I'm also wondering if there is anything else I should probably look at while the hub is out. Any suggestions?
