Congrats to all new WALMART DRIVERS, I did my phone interview ths morning, this guy really picked at me, im guessing it was to see how I handle pressure but my next step is to go to LaGrange Ga to meet with District Manager plus road test etc, Question, will I have to go thru another intense interview like today, I hope not

 

Just pretrip and road test make sure you do a good DOT pretrip

 

No chocks but all testers may do it a little differently. Mine knew that I knew what I was doing and didn't want to wait for the air to rebuild so he told me to talk it through while I was going to hook up to the trailer.

On these air release fifth wheels you can also check to make sure the bolt on the front of the fifth wheel is all the way in with the rubber against the fifth wheel. Easy to identify. Look on the front of the fifth wheel and you will see a bolt, when the jaws are locked that bolt is all the way in. We had a guy drop a trailer at our DC. Seems the tiny antenna wire for his Sirius got behind the fifth wheel release and did not let the button push all the way forward causing a slight gap in the jaws resulting in a separated trailer on the yard.

Me personally, I tug test every time I lose visual with the fifth wheel handle. My OCD habit.
