So the government is to blame for the rest of us following the law, pulling legally registered trailers, paying for appropriate permits and in general doing what is right?

So to add to the host of problems your going to have when you get caught without permits you'll also have the added expense of having the trailer towed and impounded. I hope whatever it is your planning on hauling is paying well over $20k and they don't care if it ever arrives because by the time your done with fines, penalties, towing fees, impound fees and all the rest of the expenses your going to need every penny of that $20k just to break even.

And just so you know what your in for, the towing company will not tow the trailer with an oversize load on it so in addition to everything else your going to have to find another carrier to take the load and at your expense get it moved to their trailer. Don't know when the last time was you had to call a crane out to a rest area/scale house to transfer a load but they don't answer the phone or start the engine till your into the thousands of dollars. Your in a bind, your a one time customer so your going to pay a premium to get their service.

Now I feel I just wasted $160 for permits. The only scale open from Arizona to Washington was in Utah. Scale master says. Driver I fail to see where you are oversize. I say the 1.5 inch where my chain is fastened. The officer says well I don't see you in the system for a permit. I say, I have a Western Regional. He says that's why your not in system.
He than says with a snicker on his face. Driver you sure are decked out for an inch and walks away.

Yep buy the permits or don't run.
When you're breaking the law don't make it obvious by breaking another at the same time.

So get a licensed trailer. I fail to see where this is the Govt making our lives difficult. Govt steps in because people like you will run an unlicensed trailer and probably uninsured. While the rest of us have to pay for the ignorance of those who feel they are above the law when the ish goes south and then just wash their hands of it with out any consequence or regard for others.

Sorry but that really irks me. Why would you even come here on a public forum with hard working men and women who struggle to do the right thing, and you openly admit something like that?

If you could see me right now,.. this is how I am looking at the screen.

    I read that one too.

I started to write a response and then realized somethings are better left to lesson learned.
