Find a local lawyer that advertises for traffic tickets and/or CDL tickets.
He should get it either tossed for court costs or keep your nose clean for a certain period and then tossed but they'll want their court costs for sure.
I got a 55 in 45 constr zone with no traffic or workers in K-town maybe 10 yrs ago. 30 days clean driving and toss it, just pay court costs.

Well, I spoke to 3 attorneys, they charge 250-500 and do not guarantee anything, basically saying its up to the judge. Well, since I am in different state, even if I hire an attorney, I would not even know if he will show up on the court date. It looks like I have to go there myself...
-
When you pick a lawyer, he needs to be well versed in traffic tickets especially CDLs. That's why I gave you roadlaw.com that's their expertise. I've ended up paying much more than the amounts you've been quoted but it's worth it.
Its funny but I've had more luck fighting truck tickets than tickets I've incurred when driving my personal auto.
Lawyers can't guarantee anything and the cop may or may not show up. It's going to depend on a bunch of stuff. Don't listen to this BS and heresay.
Contrary to what some of the guys have said, I've actually done traffic school with a CDL.
It was all arranged via my attorney at the time and the court and I think it had a lot to do with that particular county. It was in my home state. I also did community service with it, but the end result was I got off the ticket.
you do what you have to do. Good luck.BASARAB Thanks this. -
Just called them. $500 and I will have to appear at court. They will be there with me and ask prosecuting attorney and judge to change speeding ticket for something else. Thats what others told me as well. No guarantees. Looks like its an attorney referall agency

$500 too much. Roadlaw is taking their slice of the pie. Go direct with a local traffic ticket atty.

you're welcome -
you are correct, CDs drivers are not supposed have the classes option.....unless you get really lucky and get the right judge, like the one in Dresden tn. I have heard he has let some local tickets get dropped for cel holders. I doubt any judges around the interstates would do that, as it is a violation of federal regs for a traffic judge to do that.

Update: I called a bunch of lawyers, some asked for money and not guaranteed anything and couple told me that even if they go with me, I have no chance anyways, because its already a small ticket.
I decided to go by myself. Apparently its not only up to a judge to decide, its up to district attorney. Well, after talking to them, my ticket got dismissed, I did not pay a dollar. The DA said they'll cut me a brake since I am out of state.
I could not believe they let me go without paying, all I was hoping for is not getting the points and just paying higher fine.
I am sure everybody hates me on the road now, but I do 55 where posted, while everybody goes over 60 lol -
Sometimes you're the bug, sometimes you're the windshield.
You got lucky this time, someone was in a good mood perhaps.
If one does not learn a lesson of the present, they are doomed to repeat in the future. -
Fight the ticket, always. Don't be cute and think you can do it yourself. You just have to watch your speed next time.
I have dealt with Roadlaw.com.
Just be careful with out of state tickets. Despite the opinions on here, never assume you can easily get off this ticket.
Use some common sense and hire a good attorney who knows the ropes. Been there done that. I've had better luck fighting tickets in the truck than I have in my personal vehicle.
Go figure. Good luck
