As far as I know, Eagle only has Lone Stars and used trucks now, there may be some used KW's and Pete's in NC, but other than that, I read on here that recruiters are telling folks either a Lone Star or some used truck, hope I'm wrong.

Talk about lazy. That's almost the exact wording on the Eagle Website lol. I imagine they have a quota to fill, Celadon will only fund them so long.

Ya I wouldn't mind a lone star but really looking for a 680 or 579. Lonestars are just prostars with a different hood IMO.

That's what I wanted, but when I got there in April those were all gone, they had so many drivers come on board, that all that was left was used trucks and new Lone Stars, and like I said, from what I understand, that is still true today.
At the time I went through orientation back on 4/13 they had used 680's in NC, but no new ones were available.

The Lone Stars have a great ride, but very little storage room, and the 450 cummins has been cut back to a 350 with a 13. Most of the loads we pull are heavy 40+ and they seem to want to send drivers to the NE, good area for vans. You can use brokers to book your own freight, but they have to be approved, and Eagle has a list of them and there is one posted on this thread.
No one at Eagle knows for sure when the new reefers will be in, as there seems to be a shortage of them, right now I am pulling a new Celadon Van, but wanted to do reefer.

Well I guess I'll just have to see when I get there next month and keep my fingers crossed they get some new trucks and trailers in by then. What kind of speed are you getting with the Cummins turned down like that?
