    I know I'll be a subject of reticule,but don't care.

MY FIRST TIME BOOKING A LOAD BY MYSELF.

    1.SO I FOUND A LOAD,CALLED IN…AGREED TO MOVE IT.

2.SIGNED CONTRACT AGREEMENT SENT BY THE BROKER AND RETURNED IT BACK ALONG WITH MY
    AUTHORITY,W9,INSURANCE.

3.GOT RATE CONFORMATION WITH A LOAD INFO

4.PICKED UP, DELIVERED THE LOAD AND GOT MY BILL OF LANDING SIGNED

    WHAT DO I DO NOW?
DO I SEND A COPY OF THE SIGNED BILL OF LANDING TO THE BROKER ALONG WITH MY CHOISE OF PAYMENT OPTION(BROKER OFFERS FACTORING)?
    THAT'S IT? … AM I MISSING SOMETHING?

ABOUT RATE CONFORMATION…WHEN I RECEIVED IT,I IMMIDIATLY SIGNED IT AND SENT IT BACK TO THE BROKER FIGURING THAT HE NEEDS AS A CONFIRMATION OF UOR AGREEMENT ON A SPECIFIC SUM. ARE YOU SAYING I HAVE TO SEND IT AGAIN?

ABOUT INVOICE…IS IT SOME KIND OF FORM? WHERE CAN I GET IT?

I found an example online and I out it into excel and filled out my own information. Works just fine and looks professional. I send that in along with load conf, bol, whatever other paperwork, and then they send me a check by regular mail. Most of the brokers anymore you can email all of this in and then you wait for the mail.

yes, send in the rate con again because he usually has someone else pay the carriers. They will need to see it.
As far as a invoice, you can use several options, like taxihacker66 said, you can go buy some, use free spreadsheet programs
    Vertex
    like http://www.vertex42.com/ExcelTemplates/excel-invoice-template.html
or sign up free with www.zoho.com and they have a simple but good free invoice program for up to 5 different brokers.
I started off with some blank ones and I filled them out by hand. Now I use zoho invoicing for 15.00 a month because it is fast and simple and it makes you a list of your brokers, shippers and receivers.

I am sure the other drivers here has some good favorites they may post

    COOL THANK YOU !

THIS BROKER OFFERS NEXT DAY FACTORING AND I WANT TO TAKE ADVANTAGE OF IT…SO,DO I FACTOR THE FEES WHEN I WRITE THE INVOICE,OR WRITE THE INVOICE FOR THE WHOLE SUM AND LET THEM FIGURE OUT THEIR FEES?

The few times I took quick pay from a broker I invoiced the whole amount. Let them figure it out. They might pay you in full ..... On the flip side they might slow pay you and for the lower amount ...

You can make your own invoice. I used a template downloaded free on the internet. Anything with your letter head. Your invoice number, I use the same number as broker.. The load description. From where to where.
    Shipper Receiver and Consignor(the broker)
Same information that is on the BOL.
As said above: a lot of broker will accept email of paperwork. Some will accept the email to start pay process but want the hard copy mailed.
Anything higher than 3% for factoring, I think is to high to pay.
Better to see if your bank will give you a 30 loan before factoring loads. The interest is cheaper.
    Congratulations and Good luck
