Hub driver has dock work. Pay is $.575 a mile plus $21.90 an hour dock pay. $7.50 hooking/ unhooking sets. Home everyday. Linehaul is the best pay but it might require being gone all week until seniority is built up

They decided they weren't hiring at the moment the day I went to apply last week. Gonna lob em a phone call on Monday anyways just to see if they might reconsider.

    Thanks for the info rodknocker.

I worked for Estes. You wont start out at .575 as a driver in any division. In CA I started at .495 plus fuel, breaks/hooks, pre/post. The only way you will start as a Hub driver is 1) it's a brand new terminal or 2) no linehaul drivers want it. You can get hired as a city driver but as far as line you will start out on the extra board. Usually out for 5-6 days, home for a reset then back out. Sleep in motel rooms and run day cabs. When guys leave you move up the ladder, it will take a while but once you are able to bid for a hub run you can. Not all hub drivers work the dock. It will be listed on the bid.
