Get your CDL through school first. Many starter companies would consider you especially since your "felony" is 10 years old. If it didn't involve murder, you should be fine. You will need to do a year with a starter company like a Werner, CR England, TransAm and pay your dues. There are other "second chance" companies that will take you (PTL comes to mind). This is a very forgiving industry and not age restrictive. Thats one thing I love about trucking (I have no record). Good luck and may God Bless.

BTW, Schneider is a good choice. All I ever heard is that their training is top notched. They'll send you to school to get your CDL too. Just got to eat PBJ for awhile, but its worth it!

can't get into Canada and all air force bases and many military installations with a felony record,,Canada will not let you in with a misdemeanor DUI,,there are a lot of companies that wiii hire you,,try a small company be honest and tell them what you did aand how you got your life straight,,better working for a small company any way

If the felony is 10yrs old and is non violent you should be fine. Some companies may shrug you off but many will be welcoming to someone wanting to better themselves. I personally have numerous friends that got into trouble and sport those "awards" and are still trucking right along.
That's why they call it a fresh start.
