I currently work for Coca Cola but spend about 400+ on gas A month getting back and forth to work. So I have decided to go with a flatbed company but would like any helpful advice. The physical part cant be any problem, I delivered 1450 cases of cokes in 14.5 hours in 98 degree south Ga. heat friday so work isn't an issue. I would like to know from anyone who has worked for or knows any first hand knowledge of the 3 comanies I have been approved to go to orientation with: Arrow in Tulsa OK , TMC and Cypress in Jacksonville Fl. I told all 3 I would let them know this week if and when I can come to Orientation. Thanks any help will be appreciated. :biggrin_25519:

I would stay away from Cypress. I have heard nothing good about them and all of their equipment looks like garbage.

Arrow used to require experience, TMC didn't but that may have changed.

TMC has fancier trucks, I would take Arrow over them, however. Black is hard to keep clean looking. Have you checked with Maverick?

TMC wants you to wash the trucks all the time and they take rookies also Maverick does too

Check out some of notarps4me's posts. He currently drives for Maverick and is very happy there.

Depending on where you live, this might just be the best option for you from all that I've heard. I've known a lot of people who worked there who were very happy and cashed some nice paychecks.

TMC isn't bad either really. They've all got their little quirks I'm sure.

Arrow's starting pay for new drivers is .34 a mile and after 3 months .36. I know of no other large flatbed company that pays this well. I looked into TMC, Maverick, and Prime. Arrow overall is the better choice. I am making $1K a week easily since starting with Arrow. My miles are averaging 3K a week. I have never been broke down, but I have had to spend a couple hours at shop for repairs before. No problem for me; good time to do my #### laundry, take a shower, eat etc. My pay is always correct and my tolls and purchases (washer fluid, oil etc.) for truck are reimbursed promptly. I have said before that I am just a number to Arrow, but overall a great company to work for.

I think ,if the only reason you canfind for not going to work for them is the color of their trucks, you've got problems!!!!!!!:biggrin_25510:

I would stay clear from cypress. TMC would be my choice before Arrow.
