I'd rather carry the weight instead of dragging it so I load up to 34 on the drives then stick the rest at the back. I'm not and O/O but given the choice I spread it out instead of belly loading simply because it rides a whole lot better.
Why do O/O's load front and back?

when you own your own wagon you want it to last for a long time. loading on the front and back stresses the trailer less. I have an old 1993 benson flat. that I still use to this day with one of my other trucks. it can handle loading in the center but I like to take care of what I have so it will last.

if you haul single coils with the weight being at your limit, you have to set in center to scale, you DO have some leeway on a spread & can move rearward a lil. depends on the load. some loads put in certain area's bounce ya like crazy, where if ya move a few feet forward or back, or separate the ride is better. depends on truck, wheel base, how far 5th wheel, e.t.c.

Makes it easier to swing in cases of road rage.

I pull a step and always load from the drop to the rear. I rather have the weight on drives than trailer. Small tires. Also leaves me room for a partial if I can take the weight.
