The rates I'm quoting you are the 65% rates!
$1.60-$1.70 is running various areas, midwest, southeast and mid Atlantic. Guys up in the NE are getting $4 a mile TO THE TRUCK!
If you want to check out some options I would suggest looking at the Schneider sub forum and doing some reading.
If your happy where your at then more power to you, I respect that!
Good luck to you.

Yep, you are tallking about a different Schneider. What you are quoting is the tanker fleet and they are currently paid by the mile at an empty and loaded rate of $1.155 + fsc. They have been talking about a "choice program" for the tanker fleet for a while but it is going to be a nightmare in logistics to pull that off.
As Roadcall said, the van contractors can do mileage or percentage. Percentage is called "choice" and there are several of them making at or above your $1.70 and are home weekly.
Now, back to your thread about Bruenger.Last edited: May 28, 2015
Reason for edit: mis-typed the pay. It is correct in the quote (I incorrectly put $1.115, should be $1.155) -
Ok, no more Schnider recruiters.. You have a page for your company, this is a page about my expierance as a Lease Purchase with Roadrunner / Bruegner.
Good news is I'm Home!! / Just so anyone who is following this knows, I can come home any day I want and stay home as long as I chose, it is my choice.
Called in and have the dispatchers looking for a load out of the area for Sunday night or Monday morning.. -
Lol, I'm no Schneider recruiter. You made a statement about your higher percentage and I followed with a rate comparison. I don't work there but I'm thinking about it and researching all leases.
Glad your happy, good luck! -
Not a SNI recruiter or driver here either. You were the 1st one to mention that company and subsequently made erroneous claims regarding what they pay simply because you copied an advertisement about a completely different division.
You can compare and contrast your company or the company you work for or with to whomever you want to compare them to, but when you do, be accurrate or you loose credibility. -
88 Alpha, first and for most, I have politely asked for you to stop talking about choice. SNI Choice has a page, if you would like to talk about that program, please go to that page!
2nd I made a comment about our yard housing Pumpkin Trailers, RoadCall made a comment about how that would not be a bad deal if we where taken over and became SNI choice. He told me about there pay and I disagreed with him regarding the claim. As part of my response I posted a price comparison found on the Schinders web site (my enormous claim) yes from the Schnider web site (*rolling my eyes*).. Regardless of what division it is, I don't care! I don't care what days off Schnider drivers get, what they get paid in the N.W. Or what color underwear they wear, if I did I would of went to the SNI board and read and asked questions about it.. Or simply set up an appointment to talk about switching with one of you..
Now about credibility, if I posted something about a company regarding that company, from that company's web site, I would assume it to be credible, and 100% accurate. If it's not accurate or misleading the public, I have no liability for there claim, just sharing what is on there site.. So hopefully I still have my credibility intact, if not I guess I could blame Schnider for the loss?
But in an effort to not lose focus of what I'm trying to blog, I'd ask you not to respond about SNI choice on my page. I am making an effort to share my experience as I learn the ins and outs of leasing a truck. I am sharing what I find to be helpful and harmful. The stuff that helps and the stuff that hinders.. Again, this is a public form and I understand that. But according to the rules from the administration, you are suppose to respect the forms.
So please, in one last attempt, I humbly ask you to stop posting about SNI on my form. If you have positive opinion that would help with what I am blogging, they are welcomed. I hope we can now have peace in our conversation. Thank You and God Bless.. -
Please don't misquote me. Wasn't me that said it wouldn't be a bad thing if they took over. I never said a word till you compared your percentage to SNI.
I've enjoyed your thread, keep it going. Always nice to hear someone succeeding on a lease.Last edited: May 28, 2015

Thanks RoadCall, it has been a fun ride thust far!! I was worried at first, because I knew nothing about refers, but to this point refer has been a good business..

So I have been asked questions regarding miles and rated, etc..
Over the last 6 weeks I have driven 14,034 miles. This avrage comes to about 2,339 miles a week.
My truck has been paid $19,352.13 in the last 6 weeks, that comes to an avrage of $3,225.36 per week the truck is making.
My avrage take home had been $1,470.61 a week to the driver.
My over all rate to the truck has avg out to $1.38 a mile after fuel.
I am paying bills and getting caught up in life. In order to be more prepared I would like to see my Avg Fraight charge come closer to $1.80 a mile.
I know as I continue to learn the lanes that I can improve in certain areas, of cost. The first time I ran to Texas from Washington it coast me close to 1,100 dollars in fuel. This time I ran with JTrout and shaved some miles and hit more efficient fuel stops and was able to save approximately $100.00 in fuel..
Hope this helps if you are thinking about leasing on to a company.. I have heard of lease that pay % by the mile, set rate per mile, and many others. I am still new to this so I have not figured out a min per mile a person needs to make to be successful.. I don't know if we can call $1.38 a mile successful because it is too early in the year.
Don't forget you will have taxes, health insurance and other payments out of pocket when leasing. As the year moves on we will be able to evaluate freight rates up or down, and see how this changes with repairs, maintance and ect.
Hope this helps!! -
Wait until Monday and I'll post mine from a and a... I think we started pretty close to the same time.
itaff Thanks this.
