believe me I am worried and wanted to go sooner but Sunday was the soonest i could get a flight out but also thinking about it wouldnt matter if i got there the next day or i wait a few days if hes gonna mess the truck up it only takes about 5 seconds to do something catastrophic so the extra time wont help him do more damage
My stupid driver.

Not my situation, but if you ask me.......If he would have acted like a professional and quit like a man, then I might have even rented the guy a car rather than a bus ticket but you reap what you sow in this world.spyder7723 Thanks this.

Lets just hope your (ex) driver doesn't frequent here...

He offered to bring it back for a plane ticket. Should have let him. Your buying a plane ticket anyway. And it's costing you more time. Would have been less likely for him to do something to it if he had to deliver it so he could get his ticket. Now you just gotta hope it will be okay. Don't cut off your nose to spite your face.
59halfstep Thanks this. -
Too much risk. Besides the fact you'll have a driver not caring what he does to your equipment on the way you have no guarantee he is going to provide timely service to your customers. -
plus i would rather spend more time ad money then to reward a driver for failure he ran it out of fuel because he doesn't care why would he care what happens to truck if hes not going to have a job anyway.
-
I could see that. You wouldn't want him calling five hours in saying he can't make it because he just drove it into a pond.

When the next company calls and asks if he is eligible for rehire, say NO. Gotta be careful what you say. Answer the questions but don't offer info.
