doesn't matter really he can say what he want but ultimately he is responsible for the equipment he can say it was fine when he dropped it off yet dropping it off anywhere but the companies yard is abandonment Being i couldn't get in touch with him for a week says he stole it and left it somewhere there are different avenues I could go. even if he gets away with it I can still drag him through hell with court proceedings they cant stop me from pressing charges. wish there was a way i could report on his dac but hire right wont mess with a small company.

If both parties agreed to a location; the only safe spot is to have a fenced in lot where access is controlled. At that time, when the truck enters the compound a vehicle inspection report would be filled out by third party, documenting the condition of the vehicle.
Here, whom did the vandalism is not clear.
One may assume it was the disgruntled employee whoms now looking for a new job; Try this: call him, (record the conversation)...ask him straight up, why did you remove the decals from the truck?
(make new credentials on the spot...duck tape, a marker & printer paper will work in a jiffy.) -
Hire right can be used by a one truck company. You can try to press criminal, good luck. Might get lucky in a civil court. Do you have a drivers handbook? I can give you driver horror stories going back to 1975. You're getting off lucky if that's all that is wrong.

i think there is more wrong that is just the something that someone whose never seen my truck noticed cause he was looking for company name and truck numbers that weren't there.
I tried to get into hire right but they wont accept me cause my office is in my bedroom they say there can not be a bed in the same room as your office. and yes they send someone to check it out. just like when i got setup to pull people mvr's I had a similar inspection of my home done but they were less picky and didn't have a problem with it. I never agreed to let him park it at a truck stop funny thing is he had plenty of room in his yard but chose to being it there so Im going to hold him accountable no matter what he tries to say cause truck was his responsibility. just cause you quit or get fired is no excuse to damage company property. -
Hope everything is ok. Check your fuel tanks oil coolant and gear boxes. He might of drained them poured soda in the tanks etc.
Hope it goes well for you -
I would hire a through inspection including pulling all fluid samples and have them analyzed. This could provide documentation and possibly save your bacon if he played silly games with the truck fluids.
It does sound as though he may have been running his own wildcat operation on the side, hence his lack of time for you and your customers. Hang in there and persevere. It was too bad someone from the list couldn't have turned up and documented the rig for you. -
A few of them offered.

There might be drugs stashed somewhere. Seems like anything is possible with this person.
Criminey Jade Thanks this.
